Chiral Building Blocks

Almac has used enzymes, in particular hydrolase enzymes, to synthesise chiral building blocks that would not be easily obtained using conventional chemistry as shown below. These chiral building blocks have also been modified using diazocarbonyl chemistry resulting in novel scaffolds that feed directly into drug discovery programs.
