Almac Diagnostic Services Receives ISO17025 Accreditation

ALMAC DIAGNOSTIC SERVICES BECOMES THE FIRST AUTHORISED AFFYMETRIX MICROARRAY SERVICE PROVIDER WORLDWIDE TO ACHIEVE ACCREDITATION BY UKAS TO ISO/IEC 17025:2005

Almac Diagnostic Services has become the first authorised Affymetrix service provider to gain accreditation to ISO17025 for its comprehensive gene expression microarray and bioinformatics services. Almac Diagnostic Services develops, markets and supplies leading edge genomic expression services together with products, which will radically improve the diagnosis and treatment of cancer.

ISO 17025 is an international quality management standard used to assess the competency of analytical laboratories for the test methodology described in their scope of accreditation. Almac Diagnostic Services’ scope of accreditation applies to microarray and bioinformatics analysis on RNA extracted from biota, tissue and tumour samples utilising the Affymetrix GeneChip® platform.
