Associate Director – Procurement


Location: Based at our Craigavon headquarters – hybrid working and flexible working options available

Hours: 35 hours per week (core hours between 10.00-16.00 Monday to Friday)

The Role

With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Almac Pharma Services have been manufacturing medicines in tablet, capsule and powder form for over 50 years. We also pack commercial drug products into bottles, blisters and sachets and provide specialised packaging solutions for medical kits, vials and syringes. The expert services we provide supports the provision of medicines and treatments to patients around the world.

We are currently seeking an Associate Director - Procurement to join our growing Team. This role will be based at our Craigavon Headquarters but it is a global role supporting all our sites in Craigavon, Dundalk, Charnwood (Louhborough, UK) & Audobon (United States).

The successful candidate will oversee the sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing for GMP material requirements for all product development, commercial manufacture, and pack operations. They will also be responsible for leading procurement activities in support of all elements of capital, direct and indirect consumables for all sites. This will require a proactive, innovative, and global approach to ensure that value is maximised, quality is maintained, and risks are managed across all aspects of the supply chain. The role also involves developing and maintaining strong supplier relationships and aligning procurement practices with CSR policies.

This is an exciting role which will strive to advance our existing Procurement and Artwork teams, lead authentically, initiate change and plan for our future success. As a key member of the Procurement Management team, you will play a vital role in driving the business to achieve its’ corporate goals.

What we are looking for

To apply for this position, you should hold an Honours degree (or equivalent) qualification, along with significant experience of material procurement including negotiating contracts, services and associated costs. Previous experience within a GMP environment would also be advantaegous.
