The Role
Almac’s highly skilled analysts work in GMP / GLP environments across UK, Europe and US with significant experience in the analysis of both small and large molecules. Our state-of-the-art labs support drug substance (API) and drug product (finished product) analytics across all phases of clinical development and into commercial release.
Working as part of the Biologics team based in our Almac Sciences site in Athlone, the applicant should possess strong knowledge in molecular biology techniques used for testing of biologics. The prospective candidate should be experienced in the routine development and validation of PCR and ELISA methods. The post holder will work with a team of scientists to develop methods and perform phase-appropriate validation, on behalf of external clients, to support cGMP release testing and stability studies of Biologic Intermediates, Drug Substances, and Drug Products.

Essential Criteria
• Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a Pharmaceutical Sciences/Analytical/Chemistry related discipline
• Prior relevant laboratory experience in testing of biologics
• Previous experience in a GMP/GLP environment
• Expert in multiple technical areas and ability to troubleshoot and develop/validate methods
• Up-to-date knowledge of drug development regulatory guidelines
Desirable Criteria
(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exists)
• Post graduate level qualification (or equivalent) in a related discipline
• Experience in statistical methods for analysis of data
