Calibration Manager

Almac Group is currently seeking a Calibration Manager for our Souderton, PA location. The Calibration Manager will be responsible for the Management of the Almac US Facilities calibration program related to equipment and instrumentation and for maintaining regulatory compliance on behalf of the Almac Business Units located in PA and NC.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Manage the calibration activities as required to maintain regulatory compliance, including but not limited to maintaining a master calibration list, calibration schedules, and control of supporting calibration documentation and ensure adherence to all related SOP’s. Provide the required change management documentation support and maintain the validated state of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Manage the calibration SOP activities and associated risk assessment process. Provide calibration subject matter expertise and technical details as required to thoroughly complete calibration risk assessments and make responsible recommendations to the end users.
  • Ensure calibration activities and contractors are coordinated into the operational schedules as required to limit operational downtime while ensuring calibrations have been completed and documented prior to the due date.
  • Manage and maintain the calibration budget finding cost savings while maintaining compliance and an effective program. Manage the contractor service agreements ensuring that the contractor upholds the agreement and are providing good value for money.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Technical training in electronics and/or controls
  • Technical understanding and 5 + years of experience in performing calibration activities of equipment and devices
  • 2 years of Calibration Management Experience
  • Complete knowledge of technical details related to instrumentation calibration, test points, tolerances, and accuracy
  • Defining and applying risk within a calibration environment.
  • BMS Systems
  • Technical writing that clearly defines processes and procedures
Preferred Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Calibration within a cGMP environment experience preferred
  • Employee Supervision
  • Understanding and ability to apply this knowledge within a pharmaceutical environment.
