- Identify new sales opportunities to achieve target metrics, by managing leads from multiple sources, and proactively coordinating the lead cultivation process through dedicated actions, including email, phone calls, virtual meetings, completed with qualified lead handover to a Business Development Manager (BDM)
- Act as Almac first point of contact to prospective customers, identifying their initial needs and aligning internal capabilities. Present Almac Clinical Technologies Services capability presentations to prospective new clients, either individually or with the assistance of a Business Development Manager (BDM)
- Maintain inside sales business plans and action plans, supporting the objective of securing new business opportunities with new clients, and to capture those opportunities via our CRM (Salesforce).
- Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with sales management and field sales and marketing colleagues, to share information & insights related to lead development and new opportunity development, as well as to report on ongoing progress with meeting / exceeding defined inside sales specialist target metrics
- Aide Business Development Group Manager, Director of Business Development, and VP of Business Development, and Marketing in the preparation and vetting of sales & marketing campaigns designed to secure new clients.
- Working with Business Development Management and Marketing to ensure that business development new client development strategies are implemented and deliver the desired results, reporting any shortcomings in the strategy to the Business Development Group Manager so that strategies can be amended in a timely manner.

Bachelor’s degree OR Associates degree and equivalent of 2 years of B2B/B2C customer-facing-sales role experience required OR HS degree and equivalent of 4 years of B2B/B2C customer-facing sales role experience required
- Experience of presenting to individuals (to include both preparation and delivery of presentation materials)
- Basic understanding of sales strategy, sales tactics, and new client development processes, including but not limited to lead management & client development planning, lead generation lifecycle management, account management principles
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Bachelor’s degree with a Life Science or Business-related discipline
- Experience with maintaining prospecting and new client development records via a CRM (Salesforce preferred)
- Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and clinical technologies like eCOA, ePRO, and RTSM
- Knowledge of the clinical trial process and related industries
- Familiarity with industry regulatory requirements (GxP)
