US Business Development Inside Sales Specialist

Almac Group is currently seeking a Inside Sales Specialist for our Souderton, PA location. The Inside Sales Specialist has responsibility for prospecting potential new clients and developing qualified new business leads for the business development field sales team members, to support the objective of securing new business with new clients.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Identify new sales opportunities to achieve target metrics, by managing leads from multiple sources, and proactively coordinating the lead cultivation process through dedicated actions, including email, phone calls, virtual meetings, completed with qualified lead handover to a Business Development Manager (BDM).
  • Present Almac Clinical Services capability presentations to prospective new clients, either individually or with the assistance of a Business Development Manager (BDM).
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize inside sales business plans and action plans, supporting the objective of securing new business opportunities with new clients, and to capture those opportunities, with ongoing analysis, via our CRM (Salesforce).
  • Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with sales management and field sales and marketing colleagues, to share information & insights related to lead development and new opportunity development, as well as to report on ongoing progress with meeting / exceeding defined inside sales specialist target metrics.
 
 
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
  • Bachelors degree within a Life Science or Business related discipline 
  • 2+ years of B2B or B2C customer-facing sales role experience in the life sciences market, specifically for a pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, clinical supplies or similar organization
  • Previous experience of presenting to individuals or groups of key decision makers on business solutions, service offerings etc (to include both preparation and delivery of presentation materials)
  • Previous experience with maintaining prospecting and new client development records via a CRM (Salesforce preferred)
  • Strong understanding of sales strategy, sales tactics and new client development processes, including but not limited to lead management & client development planning, lead generation lifecycle management, account management principles
 
Preferred Experience / Education:
  • Bachelors degree within a Life Science or Business related discipline and accredited credential from a recognized sales training organization
  • Knowledge of clinical trials and the pharmaceutical industry OR knowledge of the contract packaging industry OR knowledge of logistics/supply chain management.
  • Previous practical experience with proven track record of success in an inside sales role.
  •  Expertise and strong working knowledge in clinical supply, CRO, or associated market segment
