Almac Group is currently seeking a Customs and Compliance Officer for our Souderton, PA location. The Customs and Compliance Officer will support Almac Clinical Services our Audubon, PA sites with US Import compliance when the Almac receiving site is named as Importer of Record. 
 
**5 Days in Office**
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Perform a verification of import documents with a signed approval to assure correct and accurate information is entered, when named Importer of Record. 
  • Enforce corrective actions through communication, and documentation for import violations that bypass the import document approval process.
  • Lend expertise while advising on the best path forward during project handoffs, when Almac is named IOR.
  • Scrutinize Supply Details on the Global Distribution Specifications upon creation.
  • Liaise with the exporters and Almac preferred Brokers to ensure Customs compliance.
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • 1 – 2 years of Customer Service experience
  • Logistics and/or US Customs brokerage import process
  • US Customs entry process
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Communication Proficiency 
  • Attention to detail
Preferred Experience / Education:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience with Customs import documentation and related requirements
  • Experience with FDA and USDA in relation to Pharma industry
  • Logistics, distribution, export Pharma operations experience
  • 2 years Logistics/Purchasing experience
  • LCB certification
  • US International import and/or export documentation experience
  • Customs and other Govt. agency (OGA) regulations (i.e. FDA, USDA)
