Almac Group is currently seeking a Food Service Assistant for our Souderton, PA location. The Food Service Assistant is primarily responsible for organizing/ordering/serving food and beverages in a hospitable manner; removing/cleaning up after catered event; maintain sufficient catering supplies as well as the cleanliness of kitchen areas, canteen, conference rooms, or any other applicable areas.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Organize all food and beverage orders for company functions, including but not limited to customer visits/training and internal functions, to ensure that they are accurate, served on time and presented in a hospitable and professional manner. (Travel to local restaurants for pick-up if required)
- Back-up coverage for all Office Services teams. This would include along with other duties required to assist Facilities Management. This may include traveling to other PA sites.
- Maintain the inventory of all food, beverages, and contracted vending service items. Travel to local stores and purchase specified supplies if required.
- Assist in cost controlling efforts by analyzing and sourcing food requests through cost effective food providers. Must maintain accurate financial records.
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- At least one year’s experience in the food/hospitality industry.
- Ability to work independently, take initiative, and in a team environment with minor supervision.
Preferred Experience / Education:
- Some college preferred or equivalent experience.
- Experience in customer service and hospitality focus highly preferred.
Additional Qualifications:
- Willingness to assist Almac Facilities staff with other duties as required.
- Good Communication skills (Verbal and Written)
- Must be at minimum 21 years of age.
- Must drive an Almac Pool Car when applicable.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
