Lead Training Specialist – Supply Chain Strategy

Almac Group is currently seeking a Lead Training Specialist - Supply Chain Strategy for our Durham, NC location. The Lead Training Specialist I Supply Chain Strategy is responsible for leading training programs, compliance curricula, and managing the end-to-end cycle of training needs within Clinical Services departments.
The CS Lead Training Specialist is responsible for overseeing the provision of all training specific to the Supply Chain Strategy and Pharmacy Services departments specific roles at any ACS site. Responsibilities will encompass the consultation and project management of global compliance training initiatives, oversight and appropriate design of quality education materials, the leading of Education Resources and CS Training Specialists, and improving the effectiveness of departmental new hire onboarding programs. Responsibility extends to education of roles in other departments, customers and other external users of the Almac services supported by the department.
 
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Expertly use ADDIE design model, consultation abilities, and project management techniques across a variety of departments with minimal SME interaction to ensure that training programs meet requirements and are delivered on time.
    • Conduct complex needs analyses and course design for global training projects that require a range of educational materials and implementation types
    • Review departmental education materials and LMS curricula for quality, accuracy, and adherence to GQA.063
    • Lead assigned Sponsor specific education related initiatives
    • Create and deliver new training programs for services and products launched by Supply Chain Solutions Managers, including trainees external to Almac.
  • Independently identify training gaps, propose solutions, and effectively communicate with management to meet department goals
    • Review and improve the structure, effectiveness, and outcome of departmental new hire onboarding programs, including assessment and recording of employee competency
    • Review departmental education materials and LMS curricula for quality, accuracy, and adherence to GQA.063.
  • Facilitate live training sessions and provide oversight of eLearning development using creative interaction techniques, that improve audience engagement and is tailored to suit the experience and job role of the trainees.
    • Utilize creative training and facilitation techniques to best meet audience needs
    • Support the delivery of departmental SOP training.
  • Oversee training curricula requirements, the accurate deployment of training materials, and modification as required.
    • Review the LMS training reports for all department staff periodically against the training curricula for that position. Identify gaps and arrange appropriate training sessions to ensure compliance with the training curricula and with procedures.
    • Assist in the resolution of complex LMS issues using internal, self-paced resources.
Qualifications:
Required Experience / Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree, or High school diploma with 5 years of extensive training experience, and the consultation and management of training projects within a Pharmaceutical, (Operations, Quality, Project Management or Customer Service) environment.
  • Minimum 3 years professional training experience in:
    • Complex course design, drafting of learning objectives and effective evaluation assessments on a global level.
    • Managing training projects that include a variety of training deliverables, a group of resources, and on time implementation.
  • Demonstrated expertise in training competencies
  • Consultation skills and the ability to manage a variety of stakeholders at various levels of management.
  • Project management abilities including organization, accuracy of deliverables, mobilization of resources, on time completion, and roadblock resolution.
  • Designing/developing training courses, managing programs, and evaluating competency using the ADDIE framework
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external subject matter experts and other stakeholders
  • Extensive proficiency in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint and other MS Office applications.
  • Creative training and classroom engagement techniques that can be tailored in real time
  • Learning Management System (LMS) curricula design and system understanding
 
Preferred Experience / Education:
  • Formal qualification in a learning and development or training related discipline with extensive experience leading, managing, and delivering training projects.
  • Experience collaborating globally on large scale projects with the ability to manage timelines and deliver quality training objectives
  • Working knowledge of Articulate Storyline
  • Cornerstone or similar LMS
  • Demonstrated expertise in all training competencies with the ability to train and mentor Training Specialists
  • Proven ability to effectively manage global training projects across various departments and employee levels, where diverse educational materials and curricula design required.
  • Change management or organizational development project
