The Role

Working as part of the Quality Team within our Pharma Services Business Unit, you will ensure that the cleanliness of the laboratory is maintained to a high standard, providing support to their department and ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and following Good Laboratory Practice.

The role will involve the sampling and testing of packaging materials, the sampling of britestock and products and the subsequent completion of the required documentation in accordance with specified pharmaceutical standards.

Essential Criteria

Junior Certificate (or equivalent) grade C or above in English and Maths
Leaving certificate (or equivalent) in Chemistry and/or Biology
Experience of working in a laboratory or GMP/pharmaceutical environment

Desirable Criteria

(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exist)

Third level qualification in Chemistry or a Life Science with a significant chemistry component
Experience of testing packaging materials
Experience in the calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment

The Role

With a wealth of knowledge and experience, Almac Pharma Services have been manufacturing medicines in tablet, capsule and powder form for over 50 years. We also pack commercial drug products into bottles, blisters and sachets and provide specialised packaging solutions for medical kits, vials and syringes. From our state-of-the-art facility in Dundalk, we label, pack and distribute Advanced Temperature Medicinal Products requiring ultra-low temperature handling. The expert services we provide support the provision of medicines and treatments to patients around the world.

We are currently seeking a Production Operator to join our highly-skilled Packaging team.

As a Production Operator, you will produce finished packs in line with customer and client requirements. Daily tasks will involve working in a team to perform packaging operations, operating equipment within the production area, and cleaning of equipment and packaging areas.

You will need the ability to contribute effectively within a team, proven ability to follow written and verbal instructions, and be able to perform routine tasks while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and displaying high attention to detail.

Job Specific Duties

Almac Sciences Ireland are currently recruiting for talented Analytical Technical Leader to join their development team.

Are you passionate about advancing analytical methods in the pharmaceutical industry? We are seeking a motivated professional, where you will play a key role in the development and phase-appropriate validation of analytical methods on behalf of external clients.

Your work will support release testing and stability studies for Reference Standards, APIs, and Drug Products. The position encompasses a range of critical analyses, including but not limited to, determination of assay and related substances by HPLC, UPLC, and GC; residual solvent determination by GC; water content analysis by volumetric and coulometric Karl Fischer methods; as well as dissolution, disintegration, hardness, water activity, and content uniformity assessments.

In this role, you will be expected to:

· Demonstrate deep understanding of internal procedures and regulatory aspects relevant to analytical method development and validation.

· Stay up to date with the latest technical activities and advancements in analytical technology

Essential Criteria

Junior Cert (or equivalent) passes, grades A-C, including Mathematics and English Language or leaving certificate

Previous relevant laboratory experience
Previous experience in a GMP/GLP environment
Working knowledge of multiple laboratory techniques and ability to trouble shoot
