Almac Group Win Irish American Business Chamber Award in USA

Craigavon, N.I., UK, – 2 March 2016 – The Almac Group has become the first company from Northern Ireland to be presented with the prestigious Ambassador Award for 2016 by the Irish American Business Chamber and Network.

The Ambassador Award is given annually to a member company that has helped to carry out the Chamber’s mission of strengthening business and educational ties between Ireland and the United States.  Kevin Stephens, Finance Director of the Almac Group received the award from Barbara Jones, Irish Consul General to the USA on behalf of Anne Anderson, Irish Ambassador to the USA at a ceremony in Philadelphia, USA.

Thanking the Chamber Kevin Stephens said,

“It is a real privilege to accept the Irish American Business Chamber Ambassador Award for 2016 on behalf of the Almac Group.  It is even more of an honour to be the first company in Northern Ireland to receive this accolade.  It is a very welcome recognition of our ongoing contribution to the economies of both the US and Northern Ireland and something of which we can all be very proud.”

The Irish American Business Chamber and Network Ambassador Awards primary purpose is to promote the interests of its members and the development of economic and educational relationships between the US, Ireland and Northern Ireland.
