Almac to support and participate in “Rock the Block” Community Clean Up Events

Almac Group, the global contract development and manufacturing organization, is proud to celebrate this year’s observance of Earth Month and support the local community by participating in a key sustainability initiative of Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties (MontDelco), Rock the Block 2022.

Habitat for Humanity of MontDelco’s signature “Rock the Block” community clean up events are timed this year to observe and celebrate Earth Day. Citing issues such as combating  air pollution and heat-related deaths, as well as improving youth educational performance, mental and physical health and social connections, Habitat for Humanity of MontDelco’s Rock the Block events will also launch the organization’s commitment to plant 500 trees in key revitalization zones by the end of 2022.

Rock the Block is an extension of Habitat for Humanity of MontDelco’s neighborhood revitalization efforts, which work holistically with communities to stabilize neighborhoods, and improve residents’ safety and quality of life.

Niall Harkin, Executive Director at Almac Group, said: “Almac proudly shares Habitat for Humanity of MontDelCo’s commitment to sustainability and building healthier communities. We are honored to play a role in making this year’s Rock the Block event a success, and are proud of our Almac colleagues who have volunteered their time to support the community. We also want to take this opportunity to commend Habitat for Humanity of MontDelco on their inspiring goal to plant 500 trees across Montgomery and Delaware counties this year.”

“Our mission at Almac is to ‘advance human health,’ and therefore, fostering and promoting practices within the business that support the health and sustainability of the communities in which we operate is of utmost importance. We believe that this is not just the right thing to do, but it is also what helps to make Almac Group a good neighbor, the best employer and a strong commercial partner.”
