Almac Shines At Awards Ceremonies

Almac’s Clinical Services business unit is celebrating having picked up three top accolades in the recent NI Chamber of Commerce Awards and The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), Ireland, Marketing Excellence Awards. These latest achievements mark the end of a highly successful year for the NI Company who also won the Business of the Year at the BMI / Belfast Telegraph Awards earlier in the year. Almac was recognised for its continued excellence in the field of contract drug development and manufacturing within the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, in which the company is globally renowned as a world class services provider. This year, Almac has again gone from strength-to-strength growing significantly despite the challenging economic environment.  The Company is now successfully delivering critical patient medication to over 100 countries globally.

NI Chamber of Commerce Awards

In the recent NI Chamber of Commerce Awards, Almac Clinical Services picked up two prizes – Business of the Year and the Award for Innovation through Technology for an award submission based on their Shipping Temperature Electronic Monitoring System – STEMS.  This was designed to improve the efficiency of the monitoring process of temperature sensitive clinical trial supplies during the distribution process.  The awards are sponsored by high profile companies including RBS and NatWest, BT Business, BT Directories, Dell, the British Standards Institution (BSI), AXA PPP healthcare and Westfield Health who were involved in selecting the winners.

CIM Ireland Marketing Excellence Awards 2011

At a distinguished awards ceremony held at the City Hall, Belfast– Almac’s Clinical Services business unit received an award for Marketing Excellence within the Chemicals, Plastics and Pharmaceuticals sector in the centenary year of The Chartered Institute of Marketing Ireland, Marketing Excellence Awards 2011. The event which attracted more than 400 guests celebrated the remarkable achievements of the marketing profession across the island of Ireland.
