Clinical Technologies Expands Its European Operations

Almac has announced the expansion of its European Clinical Technologies business and the opening of a new European headquarters in Craigavon, Co. Armagh. The move will create new employment opportunities in Northern Ireland with an initial 35 new jobs at the company.

Almac has invested approx £2m in their new facility in Craigavon to accommodate the new European HQ. This expansion follows recent strong performance at the division, which has experienced 30% growth year-on-year.

Speaking from Almac Clinical Technologies HQ at Yardley, Pennsylvania, Jim Murphy, Managing Director, said:

“Our expansion in Craigavon will allow us to increase the number of client facing staff based in Europe, and will afford Clinical Technologies the opportunity to benefit from all the Almac group’s skill-set and infrastructure.”

Almac Clinical Technologies, a division of Almac, is headquartered in Yardey, Pennsylvania with offices in San Francisco, California as well as Maidenhead, Kent. Almac Clinical Technologies provides clinical trial management solutions to pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, including patient randomisation, forecasting tools and supply chain management. Clinical Technologies has designed, developed, validated and managed over 1000 IVRS systems, which have interfaced with 70,000 sites and over 1,000,000 patients in 80 countries.
