Scott is the Custom and Flow Chemistry Manager at Almac Sciences. He obtained his PhD in 1998 from Queen’s University, Belfast. 

Scott has extensive experience managing multi-disciplinary teams in process development, technology transfer for multi-kg manufacturing and biocatalysis projects. He is responsible for continuous processes at Almac.  

With more than 20 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry, Dr. Scott Wharry has gained expertise in a number of disciplines including process R&D and technology transfer, cGMP manufacture, Biocatalysis, and enzyme immobilisation. The work of Dr. Scott Wharry and his team was recognised by winning the Institute of Chemistry of Ireland, Industrial Chemistry Award in 2017.
