Like many other companies and institutions around the world, we are experiencing interference with some of our systems within the TNT network.
We are implementing remediation steps as quickly as possible. We have implemented operational contingencies to continue to complete collections from customers with scheduled stops. For customers who do not have a regular stop, collection should be arranged via our customer service centers.
Customers may experience delays in the transit of shipments, particularly inter-continental or non-EU European delivery, as we work to remediate our systems. Additionally, if customers do not have the facility for self-labeling, they may also experience delays.
We are not able to collect shipments of dangerous goods at this time.
We regret any inconvenience to our customers.
Commercial Storage and Distribution
Commercial Storage and Distribution
Complementing our commercial manufacturing and packaging services, we provide a range of commercial storage and distribution solutions for solid oral dosage forms and sterile biopharmaceuticals, for both niche/orphan drug products and large scale commercial market volumes.
Utilising our bespoke ERP system, we provide full traceability of all materials on site from receipt, storage, processing and final dispatch.
Meeting all your commercial storage requirements, we have multiple modular GMP warehousing and storage capabilities for raw and in-process materials and finished goods. All our storage facilities are temperature mapped and qualified prior to release for operational use. The temperature of each facility is continuously monitored by a building monitoring system with any temperature excursion from the defined limits escalated in real time.
Working with a select number of approved distribution partners, from express couriers through to dedicated pharmaceutical carriers specialising in temperature controlled road freight and airfreight, we provide a range of customised distribution services; from large scale deliveries to wholesalers; to single unit distribution direct to pharmacies.
No matter what your distribution requirements, before deciding upon a distribution strategy we conduct a distribution risk assessment, considering factors such as transit times and distribution method to target markets, product value, temperature requirements, (as outlined in your product licence) to ensure consistency and repeatability in all activities for every product dispatched.
To ensure all drug products reach the end-user in optimum conditions we complete a full validation of shipping/packaging configurations. Our validation and logistics teams work with you, the packaging suppliers and distribution partners to design a configuration bespoke to your drug product and develop and execute a full validation programme to ensure the solution is fit for purpose. We can extend this process to include route qualification where ‘dummy’ shipments can be made to test the performance of the system in transit.
Coupled with this, we would identify all paperwork requirements in relation to import, export and customs documentation early in the project so as to reduce the risk of delays to your shipment.
Helping to secure your drug product supply chain, Almac’s multi-disciplinary serialisation team lead the way in supporting our client partners in developing and implementing their serialisation strategies to address evolving global serialisation legislation and meet GS1 standards.
