In his role as Technical Quality Lead, Wayne is responsible for the validation of primary and secondary packaging processes at Almac Pharma Services, to ensure that all associated facilities, systems, processes, and procedures are compliant with the principles of GMP, Almac’s global quality standards and global regulatory requirements. He represents the company to clients and provides coaching and mentoring to the Technical Quality team and internal project team members, during the establishment of new products across our global sites from NPI, through to product launch and ongoing commercial manufacture.
Experience
Before joining Almac, Wayne held various technical roles in the construction industry, including time as an AutoCAD Technician producing manufacturing drawings and assembly details for bespoke architectural systems, and a Contracts Manager where he was responsible for sub-contractor teams on retail and trade contracts.
Starting his career at Almac as a Production Associate, Wayne was responsible for the preparation of development, clinical, manufacturing and packaging batch records. He allocated all materials and stock movement transactions via the inventory system, and ensured that schedule adherence was met, and production downtime was kept to a minimum. After 4 years, Wayne moved into the Technical Quality department as a Specialist, before progressing as a Senior Specialist, and then into his current role as Lead.
