Almac Expands Express Suite at DIA EuroMeeting

February 19, 2008

19 February 2008. Almac Clinical Technologies will introduce the expansion of its Express Suite at this year’s DIA Annual EuroMeeting on March 3-5 in Barcelona, Spain. In addition to IXR Express, an Interactive Voice and Web Response System that meets the most aggressive timelines, Almac introduces iTrial EDC™ to its Express Suite. Employing Almac’s fully integrated IXR/iTrial EDC Express Suite, sponsors benefit by reducing study start-up times, eliminating data entry redundancies, and streamlining overall study timelines.

Similar to IXR Express, Almac’s iTrial EDC™ offers the flexibility to create an EDC system of simple to moderate complexity. Delivering upon its pledge of providing superior customer service and project management, Almac will guide sponsors through study start-up, addressing many typical trial needs that include optimizing eCRF design, clarifying edit checking, simplifying query resolution, and developing reporting. Utilizing the Express Suite, Almac will get the system live 50% faster than with traditional IVR and EDC tools.

Jim Murphy, President of Almac Clinical Technologies notes:

“Our Express Suite offers the best of both worlds to our clients: The functionalities of traditional EDC and IVRS systems with the speed and flexibility necessary to streamline drug development and bring products to market sooner at less cost.”

Murphy adds:

“The expansion of our technology offering enables us to meet the needs of a diverse client base, from the large pharmaceutical companies seeking cost efficient solutions, to small and emerging biotechs that do not want to invest in complex EDC systems due to smaller pipelines.”

In addition to the Express Suite, Almac will be showcasing its full range of eClinical tools including IXRS, iTrial EDC™, ePRO (patient reported outcomes), Web Drug Reconciliation, Clinical Hotline, and Statistical Services.
