Almac Group Team Up with Irish American Business Chamber & Network for Life Sciences Forum

Souderton, PA, USA – November 17th, 2016 – The Irish American Business Chamber and Network (IABCN) has teamed up with their 2016 Ambassador Award honouree, Almac Group, the global contract development and manufacturing organisation, to host a life sciences forum.  The event is an interactive symposium featuring pharmaceutical/life sciences and commercial industry experts who will come together to discuss major trends in drug development, the cost of healthcare and impact on patients and our economy. The intent of the forum, scheduled for November 17th, 2016 at 1pm, is to explore big pharma’s role in shaping patient wellness and our economy. Almac is sponsoring the forum and will host the event at its North American Headquarters in Souderton, PA.  Other sponsors include KYW Newsradio and PixarBio.

Panellists for the event include Brendan Fenton, Regional Finance Director for Australia, Canada and Western Europe for Bristol-Myers Squibb, John Barry, Head of Portfolio Sourcing and Relationship Management, Merck Research Laboratories at Merck & Co., and Michael Sapienza, Chief Executive Officer of The Colon Cancer Alliance. The panel will be moderated by George Tiger, Vice President Global Business Development, Almac Clinical Technologies. The discussion will span dynamic industry topics including the greatest challenges faced today and the next generation of future collaborations that will be needed, the impact of the pharmaceutical industry in the broader economy, the pharmaceutical business model and risk profile and patient advocacy and engagement.
