AI-assisted Enzyme Design

At Almac we are employing AI methods to better explore the enzyme’s fitness landscapes for reactions of interest. Structural determination and physics-based methods are used in conjunction with AI methods. Properties that are improved include activity, selectivity, thermostability, pH and solvent tolerance. Structure-based deep learning methods are also being applied to identify substrate-enzyme interactions.
