Almac’s metagenomic datasets comprise samples obtained from diverse sites and depths. Alternatively, our client’s can send us their own metagenomics to process.

Metagenomic data analysis is conducted on our bioinformatics pipeline and enzyme searching is performed using smart enzyme discovery resulting in a library of unique targeted enzymes. Subsequently through recombinant enzyme cloning, expression and testing hits are selected.

The libraries contain 100-200 enzyme sequences but can be tailored to customers needs. Timelines from in silico analysis to wet lab assays range from 12-14 weeks.
