Working with Almac for the last 27 years, Derek has held positions in Europe, the US, and Asia – living and working in all Almac’s major territories and obtaining a full appreciation of the company’s global client base, as well as their nuanced needs and expectations.
As Almac Clinical Services’ Strategic Relationship Director, Derek is responsible for a global team that supports Almac’s largest strategic accounts; aligning Almac’s commercial and operational service delivery with clients’ needs to rapidly develop a full range of life changing therapies across all Almac facilities. Derek is also responsible for the Commercial Support function, which plays an integral role in the development of Almac Clinical Services’ new and existing client base.
One of the longest serving members of the Business Development team, and with a BSc (Hons) in Science with Business from Ulster University and prior career experience working for both a large US pharma company and a veterinary pharma company, Derek brings a wealth of expertise to his role.
