Almac Fun Run – FAQs

Is there a deadline to sign up?

Online registration has now closed as maximum capacity for the event has been reached.

Where is the event located?

The event will take place at Craigavon Lakes, South Lake Leisure Centre, 1 Lake Road Craigavon BT64 1AS.

Is there parking at the event location?

Parking will be limited at South Lakes Leisure Centre. Please note that there will be no parking available at Craigavon Civic Centre on the day of the event due to a function being held there. Attendees should expect limited availability at the Leisure Centre and are advised to make alternative parking arrangements and allow extra time for arrival.

Alternative parking options include the car park at the roundabout before South Lakes Leisure Centre (City Park) or the overflow car park at Marlborough House.

What time does the event start?

Warmup will start at 11:15
5K will start at 11:30
10K will start at 11:40

Can I sign up on the day?

No, you will not be able to register after the online registration closes.

When will I get my race number and timing chip bib?

Participants will receive an email/text message on Monday 20th April with their race number.

Almac Employees can pick up their race numbers, bib, and t-shirt from the Dark Hedges meeting room in Building 19 between Tuesday 21st and Thursday 23rd April from 10am – 5pm.

External Entries will be able to pick up their race numbers from South Lakes on Friday 24th April from 11am – 6pm.

When will I get my t-shirt and goody bag?

T-shirts will be given on collection of your race number and bib. Goody bags and medals will be given out at the finish line.

Please note: We will be handing out protein bars after the run. These contain nuts.

Gift voucher prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male and female in both the 10k and 5k races will also be presented.

1st place – £100
2nd place – £50
3rd place – £25

Is there a bag drop to store personal items?

No bag drop or storage will be provided.

Can I bring my dog with me?

We do recognise that they pose a potential risk to participants as parts of the route can be narrow, but if you do wish to bring your dog, please ensure they are always on a lead.

Can I push a pram around the track?

Yes, you can push a pram, be mindful that there will be runners and parts of the route can be narrow, so we just ask you to watch out for the runners.
