Current Role
In his role as Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, Alan is responsible for providing QA support to the Product Transfer Team with the migration of products into our new State of the Art Manufacturing Facility. This support includes reviewing Change Controls, SOP’s, Risk Assessments, PPQ’s as well as liaising with clients. Alan also provides continual QA support to ongoing projects, production and the project team. Further to this, he also operates as an internal lead auditor, conducting internal audits, internal inspections and supporting external audits.
Experience
Alan began his career in Galen Ltd. as an Operator before joining Almac Group. He spent 21 years in Commercial Manufacturing, Packaging and Formulation and Development, and has also been involved in the extensive training of operators on multiple operations in the manufacturing and packaging teams and carrying out FAT testing on equipment.
His extensive experience enabled him to transition to the QA department. He was part of the QA packaging team for 3 years before moving to the QA manufacturing team for 4 years , focusing on IMP’s (Non-GMP), commercial manufacturing (GMP) operations and providing QA client support on projects. Alan’s QA experience includes Bulk review, GMP documentation review, Validation documentation review, Executed batch record review, QMS systems, Product Quality Reviews, Technical Quality Agreements, Client support and training.
