Current Role:
As the Associate Director – Manufacturing Science and Technology, Conor Long provides technical support across various internal departments. His key role consists of the technical review of all new manufacturing enquiries to support the generation of proposals and scheduling of required activities. This includes toxicological review of all drug substances to ensure safe handling. Conor is also involved in the sourcing of modern technologies and equipment to improve production efficiency and quality, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. He also acts as a supporting role for trouble shooting issues for both product development activities and commercial manufacture.
Previous Experience:
Conor’s extensive experience within the CDMO space equipped him with vast experience in process optimisation, regulatory compliance, technology transfers and team leadership. It started with his career at Galen as a Senior Regulatory Affairs Scientist for over a year. After, he transitioned to Almac, working as a Senior Formulation Development Scientist for five years and before progressing to a Group Leader then Senior Group Leader for Formulation Development for 13 years. With his expertise and knowledge, Conor has been promoted to Associate Director of Manufacturing Science and Technology.
