Current Role

In his role as Associate Director of Quality Operations, Phil is responsible for the leadership and management of Almac Pharma Services’ Quality Operations and Quality Compliance teams. He ensures that operations are carried out in accordance with Almac policies, procedures and product registrations to effectively meet the needs of the business while upholding compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

When it comes to his role, Phil enjoys daily problem-solving, planning, and strategising to support the company’s current and future needs. Over 14 years, he has directly contributed to Almac’s growth through his involvement in the establishing of three new sites and in major expansions throughout our global headquarters in Craigavon. Reflecting on his career to date, Phil speaks of a rewarding experience getting to plan and deliver projects that drive the business’s ongoing success and evolution.

Experience

Having held just about every job there is in QA, Phil began his career in Technical Quality/Validation for Almac’s Craigavon and Audubon sites. He then moved into Quality Assurance, progressing his career from Quality Compliance Officer to Team Leader, Product Quality Manager, and now Associate Director of Quality Operations. 

These roles have allowed Phil to support the launch of Almac Pharma Services’ Audubon, Charnwood and Dundalk sites from a Quality Assurance and Validation perspective, and manage the QA departments in Craigavon and Dundalk. Recently, Phil had the opportunity to revisit his Technical Quality/Validation origins through temporarily overseeing Craigavon’s QA function and Craigavon and Dundalk’s TQ department.
