Current Role:
As Clinical Testing Manager within Almac Diagnostic Services, Valerie has overall responsibility for clinical trial delivery at the Durham site. She leads the Clinical Testing Unit in delivering prospective testing for use in clinical trial enrolment utilizing qPCR, NGS, Nanostring, and microarray technologies according to CLIA, CAP, and ISO regulations.
Previous Experience:
Prior to joining Almac in March 2021, Valerie earned her B.S. in Biology with a molecular concentration from UNC Pembroke and a Project Management Certificate from NC State University. Over the last 14 years, her diverse career has included work in Molecular Oncology, AgroScience, Neurobiology, and Metabolomics. She also has experience in new facility startup, CDC import permitting, and microfluidics manufacturing.
