Almac Clinical Technologies Releases Almac Interactive Reporting for IXRS

April 8, 2010

Almac Clinical Technologies announced today the release of a new reporting solution for its IXRS™ integrated phone and web response technology. The new reporting system, Almac Interactive Reporting, will be showcased at the upcoming Partnerships in Clinical Trials, held April 12-14, in Orlando, Florida.

Almac Interactive Reporting was designed and implemented with significant client input. Almac conducted in-depth- interviews with clients to gather insights about their reporting needs and how reports fit into their daily workflow patterns. As a result of this intensive client research, Almac designed its new reporting suite to maximize client productivity and satisfy clients’ daily need for high quality data.

Almac Interactive Reporting features dashboards and a suite of reports specifically designed to suit the needs of two particular user groups: Clinical and Drug Supply Management professionals. When logging on to Almac Interactive Reporting, users are presented with a choice of dashboards that are particularly relevant to their job function and the state of the trial. For example, if a trial is in its early stage, clinical users will typically access a “start-up” dashboard that presents relevant data including patient and site functions, such as screening, enrollment, randomization, and site activation. As the trial progresses, clinical users will transition to the “maintenance” dashboard that offers scorecards that measure key performance indicators (KPIs) against established targets. This allows users the ability to analyze study progress in a glance.

Almac’s President Jim Murphy comments: “Almac Interactive Reporting is one of several new innovations that Almac has planned for this year. We have invested heavily in our reporting and IXRS technology this year to help clients manage their trials more effectively and productively. We are confident that Almac Interactive Reporting will set the industry standard for reports.”

Joseph Bedford, Ph.D., Director of Marketing, comments on the process of developing Almac Interactive Reporting: “We conducted dozens of interviews and a lot of testing with clients to better understand their needs and the current limitations they face in reports today. As a result, we developed Almac Interactive Reporting to facilitate sponsor workflows and empower our clients with a variety of key features and functionalities that help them analyze data and make better decisions during their clinical trial.”

Almac Interactive Reporting allows users to manage data in creative and interactive ways. Standard features include online sorting, filtering, pivoting, graphing, and other analytical tools. Downloading data into Excel and other formats is easy, but hardly necessary given the power of the solution. Almac Interactive Reporting also features the most user-friendly ad-hoc reporting tool in the industry. Users literally just need to drag and drop data sources to create their own reports, and can display them in graphs, tables, and other useful ways with a few clicks of the mouse.

Sponsors can view a video of Almac Interactive Reporting by logging on to the Almac Group website at The video and a live demo will be premiered at the upcoming Partnerships in Clinical Trials meeting in Orlando in April. Come visit Almac at booth # 210!
