Pharma company sees off stiff competition in ‘Best Place to Work’ category

Almac, the international Pharmaceutical and Biotech company headquartered in Craigavon, Co. Armagh, was last night highly commended in the Best Place to Work category at the Irish News Workplace & Employment Awards.

With stiff competition among the finalists, which included many of Northern Ireland’s best known firms, Almac was awarded the commendation in recognition of the company’s commitment to developing a world class workplace.

Speaking at the ceremony in Belfast, Almac CEO Alan Armstrong said: “Tonight’s commendation recognises our continued efforts to ensure that our workplace stands out from the rest, and attracts the brightest and best from Northern Ireland and further afield.”

“Our strength and ability to deliver world-class health care solutions relies solely on our people, and the development of a workplace environment which fosters innovation, ingenuity and encourages all to reach their full potential,” he added.
