March 9, 2022

Almac Group, the global contract pharmaceutical development and manufacturing organization, is delighted to partner with the Irish American Business Chamber & Network (IABCN) to support two key programs that aim to promote international business and life science sector growth in Greater Philadelphia.

As part of the partnership, Almac has supported IABCN’s annual Ambassador Awards, recognizing individuals and companies who exemplify the Chamber’s mission to promote international business and education in Greater Philadelphia.

Almac will also support the IABCN’s Life Science Forum, an annual discussion on topics impacting Greater Philadelphia’s life science sector. This year’s event on April 5 will feature a discussion with Stephen Klasko, MD, MBA of Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health, and will be moderated by George Tiger, Vice President of Global Business Development, Almac Clinical Technologies.

Almac Group is headquartered in Northern Ireland and at the forefront of developing, manufacturing, testing and distributing essential medicines to vulnerable patients around the world. In 2016, Almac became the first Northern Ireland-based company to win the prestigious Ambassador Award, as result of significant growth and economic contribution to the region.

Kevin Reid, Global Vice President of Marketing and Corporate Development at Almac Group, said: “Almac Group is proud of the continued success and milestones we have reached in Greater Philadelphia.  We have welcomed over 1,500 members of staff to our three Montgomery County sites, expanded our innovative offerings for clients in the life science sector, and most recently, supported over 200 COVID-19 programs across the globe. We thank IACBN for their ongoing support of our local growth and are delighted to support them in their mission to promote prosperity in Greater Philadelphia.”

Lisa Maloney, President, IABCN, said: “We are proud to have Almac Group as a member of IABCN and as a thriving Northern Ireland-based life science company growing in Greater Philadelphia. Their local success exemplifies why our mission to strengthen the business and educational ties between the island of Ireland and the United States is important to our community. We are glad to have their support for our Ambassador’s Awards and Life Science Forum programs and look forward to a continued prosperous future together.”
