Almac to Showcase Integrated Clinical Trial Solutions at 45th Annual DIA Meeting

June 17, 2009

At this year’s 45th DIA Annual Meeting, Almac will showcase its focus on integrated solutions, including the Almac Group’s integrated clinical supply management service offering and recent data integration efforts with Almac partners PHT Corporation and Medidata Solutions.

Almac’s seamless, integrated, full supply chain solution includes IVR/IWR, drug formulation, blinding, packaging, labeling, depot management, site inventory management, global logistics, and related services. Almac does more than just combine related services under one roof; it incorporates supply chain planning and consulting, technology implementation, and project oversight into a unified study start-up and management approach that optimizes the supply chain at each level.

Jim Murphy, President of Almac Clinical Technologies, says

“Almac’s commitment to high quality, integrated services allows the company to deliver on clients’ needs across the clinical supply chain. Our experience in providing IVR/IWR technology alongside global packaging and distribution services to the biopharmaceutical industry makes us unique. No single company has the experience, technology, expertise, personnel, or global logistics to match our integrated drug supply management and technology solution. As drugs become more expensive to manufacture, particularly biologics, our clients are finding that they can rely on the Almac Group to optimize their clinical supply chain in innovative ways. ”

Additionally, Almac, PHT and Medidata Solutions will co-host

“Follow the Integrated Data Trail,”

a booth tour to showcase rapid data sharing across three best-in-class systems using industry standards. Participants will be able to track a patient from randomization in Almac’s IXRS™ integrated Interactive Voice and Web Response System to electronic patient diary entries in the PHT LogPad system, ending with CRF data entries in Medidata Rave, where participants can view all previously entered data now available in one system. To witness first hand the benefits of integrated IVR/IWR, ePRO and EDC data, please visit booths  1301, 1124-1125 and 701.
