PA Governor Tom Corbett Praises Almac during Visit

The Almac Group were delighted to welcome Governor of Pennsylvania, Tom Corbett  to their Souderton based facility on Tuesday 8th July during which he was given an extensive tour of the state-of-the-art building which included observation of various operations within the production, warehouse and laboratory areas. He also used the opportunity to meet employees and discuss some of the ground-breaking activity being carried out by the Group.

Governor Corbett commented “We’re seeing jobs growing across Pennsylvania and this is just an opportunity to see it here in the middle of Montgomery County.”  He praised Almac’s excellence in innovation which has delivered global success for the company and secured a significant number of high value jobs in the Souderton region.  He also commended the exceptional financial benefit that Almac contributes to the wider economy which is estimated to be in excess of $20 billion by 2017.

The Governor and his staff conveyed their sincere thanks to the entire team for taking time out to host the tour which he found extremely enlightening and he left with a clear understanding of the scale and capability of our operations in addition to our solid Northern Ireland/US links and heritage.
