Middle East Operational Impact Update
10 March 2026
Almac Clinical Services is actively monitoring the evolving situation in the Middle East. Widespread airspace restrictions, reduced airport operations, and ongoing volatility in global fuel markets continue to influence international logistics flows. Conditions remain fluid and may change on a day-to-day basis.
Regions Impacted
Current confirmed areas of operational impact include:
- Israel
- Jordan
- Lebanon
- United Arab Emirates (Dubai, Abu Dhabi)
- Qatar
- Kuwait
- Bahrain
- Syria
- Saudi Arabia
- Oman
Current Logistics Status
Airspace restrictions and reduced flight availability across several countries in the region are affecting transport capacity and routing options. These constraints may lead to extended transit times or limited availability on certain corridors.
Israel remains an area of operational impact, and our teams are actively managing routing and capacity on a shipment-by-shipment basis. Despite these challenges, we continue to secure space and successfully move shipments through the region as options become available.
Courier Pricing & Fuel Cost Impact
Almac continues to work closely with our courier partners to maintain ongoing shipments and to mitigate price increases wherever possible. While specific budget implications cannot yet be confirmed, short term changes to courier pricing are anticipated due to high demand for capacity, extended flight durations on some lanes and continued volatility in global fuel costs.
Next Steps
To ensure continuity of supply and protect clinical materials, Almac Clinical Services will:
- Review all shipments currently in transit across affected regions.
- Prioritize critical clinical shipments requiring temperature control, patient critical timelines or site replenishment.
- Assess planned shipments on a case-by-case basis to minimize the risk of delays.
- Continue working closely with global logistics partners to secure capacity on available corridors and avoid high risk airspace.
We will continue to monitor developments closely and will contact affected clients directly if there is any impact to planned or upcoming shipments. Further updates will be provided as more information becomes available.
