Dr. Gareth Brown is the Team Leader within Almac’s Biocatalysis Group. He obtained his PhD from Queen’s University Belfast in 2005.

Gareth has worked on many projects with a wide range of enzyme classes. Projects have ranged from small scale screening up to kilograms/ton scale manufacturing. Gareth has been involved with a number of patents involving enzymatic processes and has also tech-transferred chemical and biochemical processes into Asia.
