Our work experience placements offer young people a fantastic opportunity to see for themselves what it is like to work in a leading global pharmaceutical contract manufacturing and development organisation.
Sixth Form (16-18) Work Experience
Almac’s work placement programme gives pupils an insight into the drug development process, life at Almac and the variety of rewarding career paths available at Almac, both inside and outside the laboratory, through tours, conversations with staff and activities.
Given the diverse range of roles available at Almac, our work experience programme offers sessions focussed on Science, Engineering, IT and Business, so that pupils can experience life at Almac in their specific area of interest.
For pupils interested in scientific or engineering careers, our 3-day programme includes a day in the W5 laboratory, Belfast, doing Biology and Chemistry experiments or an Engineering work shadow in Craigavon. Transport between Almac and W5 will be provided, as required. We also have 2-day IT and Business work experience sessions. Sessions for our IT-focused work experience, which run on Days 1 and 2, are indicated below with (I). IT and Business work experience dates for 2027 will be confirmed in due course.
