MED-Lab: Inspiring a new generation of scientists and technologists
MED-Lab, created in partnership with Almac Group and located at W5, an award-winning science and discovery center in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter, provides visitors of all ages with an intriguing insight into the worlds of pharmaceutical and biomedical science.
MED-Lab takes visitors on a fun learning journey through the human body using advanced imaging technologies and entertaining hands-on interactive activities.
Almac’s exhibit
Almac’s exhibit, the centrepiece of MED-Lab, allows visitors to meet ‘Alma Capsule’ and learn about the work carried out at Almac during the medicine development lifecycle, Almac’s rich history and the diverse range of career paths available globally across the Group.
The aim of MED-lab, the only exhibition of its kind in Ireland, is to inspire a new generation of scientists, engineers, mathematicians and technological experts and to enhance knowledge and understanding of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) subjects and career pathways.
