- The Senior I.T. Project Manager oversees and manages activities related to assigned projects with primary responsibilities for ensuring that the project team meets project objectives and deliverables on-time and within budget.
- The Senior I.T. Project Manager must be able to manage assigned projects from project approval stage all the way through the project lifecycle, whilst managing scope, expectations, quality, time, cost, risk, vendors, and project communication
- The Senior I.T. Project Manager must be able to work effectively on their own, be self-sufficient, use good judgement to escalate appropriately to management, and as also work well as part of the wider IS Projects Group based outside of the US, and the wider IS department in general.
- Associate degree or Certificate from accredited college in Computer Sciences
- 5+ years of Project Management experience
- Must be able to demonstrate having performed the Project Manager role in a minimum of eight successfully completed IS projects.
- The projects must be within one or more of the following IS areas:
- Implementation of “Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)” applications
- I.T. Infrastructure
- Software Development
- The projects must conform to one or more of the following criteria:
- Number of system users > 50
- Project Budget > $100,000.
- Size of Project Team > 6
- Must have 5+ years’ experience in working within and managing cross-functional project teams.
- Documentation typically used in the management of I.T. Projects
- Bachelor’s degree
- Line Management Experience
- Qualification in a formal Project Management methodology (PRINCE 2 or equivalent)
- Must be able to motivate project team members and colleagues effectively.
- Must be able to generate structured project plans based on agreed estimates.
- Must be able to demonstrate effective influencing and negotiating skills.
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to perform multiple project tasks.
- Ability to be detail-oriented with an emphasis on accuracy and delivery of high quality projects.
- Experience in vendor management is essential.
- Experience in analyzing, documenting, and re-engineering business processes is essential.
- Experience in gathering business requirements and producing clear and unambiguous User Requirements Specifications is essential.
