Dr. Derek Quinn is the Senior Biology Team Leader in Almac’s Biocatalysis Group obtaining his PhD in 2002 from Queen’s University, Belfast. Since then his career has been focussed on enzymology and in particular directed evolution and enzyme/biocatalyst engineering.

Derek joined the Almac’s Biocatalysis Group in 2011 to head up the Biology function and to drive forward the Biocatalyst Engineering and High Throughput Screening capabilities at Almac to become an industry leader in the field.
