Cleaning composition comprising an engineered fatty acid alpha-dioxygenase
An alpha-dioxygenase enzyme was rationally engineered for application in a cleaning composition for fabric cleaning, hard surface cleaning, car cleaning, dishwashing, hair cleaning, etc. The engineered alpha-dioxygenase when in contact with soiled surfaces comprising fatty acids, such as stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid and linolenic acid can convert those into an enzymatic product with improved cleaning performance or equivalent cleaning performance while using lower levels of surfactants.
