Almac Hosts Successful Clinical Supply Management Workshops across North America

April 27, 2007

Almac hosted key industry educational workshops concentrating on an Integrated Approach to Clinical Supply Management. The workshops ran during 26th-28th March (covering San Francisco and San Diego) and 16th -20th April (Durham NC, Audubon and Boston).

The workshops illustrated a new approach to the clinical trial supply chain in an integrated manner, concentrating primarily on the relationships between trial supply provision and implementation of IVRS (interactive voice response) systems The speakers included experts within both disciplines from two Almac divisions, Clinical Technologies and Clinical Services. The Almac team provided delegates with a deeper insight on how they can manage these supply chain relationships to aid the delivery and implementation of their clinical trials.

Each daily workshop consisted of presentations on each subject area, question and answer sessions with work through case studies. Almac shared experiences and expertise surrounding the significant areas of overlap between clinical trial supplies and management of IVR Systems. Clients were able to learn how they can effectively manage these areas of interface and what types of approach can be adopted for both trial supply provision and IVR systems.

Over 100 delegates attended the workshops, representing 62 different Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies globally that have benefited from Almac’s educational program.
