You don’t need to wear a lab coat to work at Almac!

Keen to dispel the myth that “only scientists may apply”, Almac are hosting a recruitment fair at the Europa Hotel in Belfast on Thursday 2 May (8am-8pm) where they will discuss the various Project Management posts and associated benefits currently available at their main Craigavon site.
Although Almac recruits on a rolling basis as its facilities keep expanding, the perception that only candidates with a scientific background will be considered is proving difficult to shift.
To nip this myth in the bud, Almac are hosting their very first recruitment fair to engage on a one-to-one basis with potential candidates and tease out the essential qualities for the available posts. Visitors could well be surprised to discover that they fit Almac’s job profile requirements perfectly, and could end up stepping onto a successful career ladder before spring gives way to summer.
A total of 14 positions are immediately up for grabs in the Clinical Project Services department and will suit candidates with an organised, problem-solving mind combined with good customer skills and a knack for managing project scope and timelines. Over the next few months, eight further Project Management positions will be advertised and the fair offers the perfect opportunity to meet Almac’s recruitment specialists and be noticed.
Abi Pesun, Director of Clinical Project Services of Almac’s Clinical Technologies business unit, says “Scientific and clinical services cannot function to optimal efficiency without the essential support our existing 50 Project Managers provide. We are looking forward to bringing in more enthusiastic Project Managers with varied specialities encompassing IT, logistics, customer service and more.
“Aside from working for an award-winning business offering excellent working conditions, employees also have access to opportunities for learning and development, helping them to secure professional roots and develop within the Almac family. We hope the recruitment fair will dispel misconceptions about Almac and show that indeed it takes all kinds to make Almac the extremely successful company it has become over the years.”
