CTS Host Successful Global Clinical Trial Distribution Workshops In The US

April 25, 2006

CTS hosted several non-proprietary workshops for clients concentrating on global distribution of clinical trial materials. The workshops ran during 6-10th March (covering San Francisco, San Diego and Chicago) and 27th-31st March (Durham NC, Audubon and Boston).

The objectives of the workshops were to allow clients access to various different “experts” across all the inter-related functions involved with Global IMP distribution. Subjects covered included an overview of cold chain distribution, shipping of controlled materials, use of distribution depots, hazardous goods, the perspective from the Qualified Person and how best to leverage links with IVRS systems.

Each workshop lasted a full day and consisted of presentations on each subject area, question and answer sessions with work through examples/case studies. This enabled clients to learn from the experience from within CTS and also from their industry peers, therefore adding to each individual’s knowledge of IMP distribution and the various pitfalls within the process.

A total number of 151 delegates attended the workshops over the two-week duration and this represented 64 different Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology companies that have benefited from the knowledge sharing with CTS.

This has been a very successful and rewarding event for all those involved, for both organizers and participants, so congratulations to everyone that played a part in the success.
