Project Management is a key adjunct to bring a drug to market.

At Almac, project management is a prized service offering to the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, providing our clients with highly capable project managers across our clinical supply, packaging, distribution and clinical trial management and technology services.

Given the increasing costs of drug development and critical use of time, the industry recognizes that effective project management is key to bringing a drug to market, especially in a highly regulated and complex environment.  As a project manager at Almac, strong people and negotiating skills and the ability to resolve conflict and communicate effectively is essential. Our Project Managers participate in multiple projects and are often involved in strategic planning, marketing, sales management, manufacturing, human resources, and financial planning efforts.

System Developers

Software DevelopersAlmac offers the biotech/pharmaceutical industry integrated clinical technologies, including interactive patient voice and web response systems, electronic data capture and phone and web-based patient diary solutions, that help streamline the clinical trial process. These include custom clinical supply chain and distribution solutions that when used together offers the industry an end-to-end clinical trial solution.  Our Systems Developers are the key resource for insuring the many components of these technologies are developed according to client requirements.

System Developers work in collaborative project teams to creatively develop the many components for these systems, in accordance with user specifications and project schedules.  They provide technical support, review functional requirements, insure ongoing maintenance, develop modifications and communicate vital information to team in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment where sharing ideas for improvement is encouraged.

Clinical Drug Supply Management

Job Profile 2The principle function of the Project Services department is the day-to-day management of all Almac Clinical Services customers. The department coordinates all aspects of the delivery of a customer’s project as specified in the quotation. In order to achieve this, the department is divided into a customer support group and an operations support group.

The Clinical Drug Supply Manager works within the customer support group and serves a critical and key role at Almac – the overall responsibility for the successful setup and management of the clinical supply chain to ensure the correct drug is in the right place on time, for dispensing to patients enrolled in a clinical trial. They work closely with Project Leaders and Project Managers as well as Coordinators within Project Services.

Almac has a variety of services, and the key skill and experience we seek in a successful candidate is demand planning and forecasting for bulk and finished good products within the pharmaceutical industry. The Clinical Drug Supply Manager actively maintains inventory levels and sales order transaction history in inventory system as well as participates in profit planning activities and has an understanding of financial impact of Supply Strategy.

Clinical Drug Supply Managers are a critical part of the success of the clinical trials at Almac as well as a key aspect of Almac’s customer relationships.

Almac Outreach

Almac endeavours to promote STEM subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths), particularly science at all levels within schools, colleges and universities.  Consequently we proactively encourage visits, tours and placements as part of our commitment to generating continued interest and enthusiasm in these disciplines.

To ensure these opportunities are available equally to as many schools, colleges, universities and individuals as possible, we adopt a structured and focused approach to these events which is managed by our cross divisional Outreach Working Group.
