The Role

Working as part of the Technical Operations team based in our Global Headquarters in Craigavon, you will be responsible for for initiation, planning, execution and closure of Engineering Maintenance Projects and other Business Projects, requested by internal or external third parties as part of Pharma Services business activities. The Project Engineer must ensure projects are carried out efficiently and on time in co-ordination with the Engineering Maintenance Team and other relevant departments within both Pharma Services and the wider Almac Group. The Engineering Project Engineer must work to engineering best practice standards and be compliant with cGMP.

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant engineering qualification e.g. mechanical, electrical, process, civil (or equivalent)
  • 5+ years’ experience in industrial engineering, to include installation of production and plant equipment, within a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Practical experience in managing site activities and coordinating multi-disciplinary (civil, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control, automation and Process) teams.

Desirable Criteria

(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exist)

  • A third level degree in Engineering or similar
  • An advanced qualification in project management
  • Previous project experience within the food or pharmaceutical industry and particularly of pharmaceutical manufacturing, packaging and sealing equipment.
  • Experience of clean room environments, HVAC and construction.
  • Reading and producing Engineering Technical Documents and drawings through CAD.
